Let's talk Rogue...

So yes, we can now talk about it. The embargo has been lifted and the new Callaway Rogue will be arriving in-store early February and I’ve just taken delivery of the Rogue demo drivers and irons.

Callaway have taken the revolutionary Jailbreak Technology that made Epic the number one selling driver in 2017 and supercharged it with lighter, stronger hourglass shaped bars. Unlike the Epic which focuses on adjustability, Rogue focuses on exclusive performance with three different driver head:

• Rogue: A new and more forgiving 460cc shape boasts a larger address footprint than the Epic, encouraging golfers to relax, cut loose and make a free fast swing.
• Rogue Sub Zero: A powerful, extremely low spinning, Tour-Calibre driver packed in a more forgiving head shape.
• Rogue Draw: A 5-gram screw and added weight in the heel moves the centre of gravity inward, providing more draw than the Epic can on its full draw setting, minimising slice spin when the clubface is open at impact – a chronic slicers dream.

It's a new era

Our January poll captured the imagination of many of you as we asked you to consider whether Tiger Woods would make a triumphant return to the fairways in 2018. Here are the final results:

• 58% think Tiger will fail to win a tournament this year
• 33% believe the American will win a PGA Tour event
• 9% believe he’ll get one closer to Jack Nicklaus’ major victories record

As we head into February, keep an eye out for our new poll later this week. With lots of the major brands releasing new products over the coming weeks, we want to know which one you’d like to try the most. Of course, we will be receiving lots of exciting bits next month so be sure to pop your head into the shop next time you're at the club.
