Members old clubs for cash As mentioned last week, if any members have any old clubs sitting around that they don’t tend to use, then we can take the hassle out of selling them yourselves by getting rid of them for you. We sell via eBay and other sites, and we’ll give you the full amount of anything we get and just credit your account in the Pro Shop. It’s quick and simple. Ideally, the clubs need to be no older than five-years or so, but please pop them into the Pro Shop so we can look at them and give some advice. Click here to contact us.

So close yet so far... It was a case of so close yet so far for Northern Ireland’s Graeme McDowell and Argentine team-mate Emiliano Grillo, as they finished agonizingly short in the QBE Shootout in Florida, missing out on top spot by a single stroke. The event, which follows a fourball format, was won by Americans Patton Kizzire and Brian Harman, who finished on -30 after a final round of 61. Tony Finau and the LPGA’s Lexi Thompson finished on -23. Meanwhile, it was an emotional victory for 2010 Open winner Louis Oosthuizen, as he claimed his first South African Open over the weekend – the first time the South African has won the tournament. An eagle and five birdies in his final round meant that Oosthuizen ended the tournament on -18 under – a record-equaling six shots clear of second place. England’s Oliver Wilson finished on -10, in a tie for third place.

We all want to enjoy playing golf, and a big part of this is lowering our handicap. Yes, there will be times when your game isn't up to scratch and you go up .1 a few times in a row, but there'll also be times when all of the puzzle pieces fit and your handicap tumbles. |
What does your graph look like? As the year comes to an end, it's important to take stock and examine where you can improve your game going into the new year. There might be several areas that you want/need to work on, or maybe just two or three finer details that will take your game to the next level. |
Whatever those areas are, we're here to help. We can identify the key reasons you're not shooting the scores you want, as well as devise a personalised winter coaching plan to help iron out those faults and get you paying your best golf. So, if you want to see your handicap tumble in 2019, come down to the shop for a chat - you've got nothing to lose and everything to gain. |
