October has always been difficult to predict. One minute it's warm enough for just a polo and the next you need an all-singing, all-dancing raincoat. This is why having a lightweight mid-layer is vital to bridge the gap and have you covered whatever the weather throws at you.

Luckily for you, the deliveries keep on arriving in the pro shop and some of our recent boxes contained Galvin Green's winter clothing range.

We know it's a brand that a lot of you would like to wear, and the Dwight pullover might just be your best option.

Who had a pair of these?

I'm sure the shoes below will make a lot of you smile. It's been a long time since golf shoes looked like the first image and it's safe to say that comfort, style and traction have all come a long way since then - even if some of us think the overlapping tongues looked great!

Old style shoes

It wasn't just the daring uppers and striking tongue that defined golf shoes from yesteryear; flip the shoes upside down and the hard leather outsole featured single metal spikes that resembled weapons more so than traction pods.

Modern golf shoes

Skechers shoes are known for their outstanding comfort, and the Pro V4 golf shoes are no different. For us, there's nothing more important when walking between 4 to 5 miles a round, so be sure to try a pair of Skechers on next time you're at the club.

Spotlight | TaylorMade P790 irons

When TaylorMade launched its original P790 irons back in 2017, it's safe to say they went down a storm with golfers across the country.

They've been updated for 2019 and the performance gains are there for all to see. TaylorMade has added a tungsten weight low in the head to help you get the ball in the air easier, whilst its forged hollow body delivers amazing distance from a beautiful feel off the face.
